If you are looking for a real muscle car to have some (legal) fun, the Dodge Challenger 2021 and the Chevrolet Camaro 2021 are two worthy contenders. So let’s see how both perform.
When talking powertrains, the Dodge Challenger 2021 outshines the Chevrolet Camaro 2021 by a lot. You can get the base engine 3.6L Pentastar V6 with 305 hp and 268 lb*ft of torque. You can get a 5.7L HEMI V8 with 375 hp and 410 lb*ft of torque. You can get the all mighty 6.4L HEMI V8 with 485 hp and 475 lb*ft of torque. And not but not least, you can get the supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 with 707 hp and 650 lb*ft of torque in the Hellcat trim, 797 hp and 707 lb*ft of torque in the Redeye trim, or 807 hp and 707 lb*ft of torque in the Super Stock trim. These come in either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive base, or all-wheel drive on the entry models. The Chevrolet Camaro 2021 doesn’t have nearly as many options, and some are very questionable. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0L I4, followed by a 3.6L V6, then a 6.2L V8 in the SS trim with 455 hp and 455 lb*ft of torque, or a supercharged 6.2L V8 in the ZL1 trim with 650 hp and 650 lb*ft of torque. The Camaro comes with rear-wheel drive only and either an 8/10 speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.
The Dodge Challenger 2021 comes with various trims and packages, allowing you to tailor the car of your dreams precisely. From paints and stripes to rims, and all the way to interior color, preferred seats, safety packs, and even the ability to remove seats all together if you plan to take it to the drag strip or track.
The owners of the Dodge Challenger 2021 are ecstatic with their purchase and ownership. They are reliable, rides well, a lot of comforts, plenty of power, tons of fun.
If you have any plan to drive proficiently, have loads of fun, and enjoy every mile from your car, the Dodge Challenger 2021 is a better car than the Chevrolet Camaro 2021 with all the available powertrains, which is the most crucial factor here. Government 5-Star Safety Ratings are part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov). Model tested with standard side airbags (SAB). Starting with 2011 models, NHTSA has introduced tougher tests and rigorous new 5-Star Safety Ratings that provide more information about vehicle safety and crash avoidance technologies. Because of the more stringent tests, ratings for 2011 and newer vehicles should not be compared to ratings for 1990-2010 models. Overall vehicle score and frontal crash ratings should ONLY be compared to other vehicles of similar size and weight. For more information go to www.safercar.gov
